Another Halloween...and Bloody

October 2011:
Legendary actor James Dean was killed in his brand new 1955 Porsche Spyder on a country road in California, and it was not only the actor that was legendary.  Here is the folklore that surrounds the Porsche that lives on. After Dean's death, car enthusiast George Burris bought the car remains and as the car was being removed from the truck it slipped and broke the mechanic's leg.  Burris sold the engine to an amateur racer who installed it in his car. During a race the car went out of control and killed its owner. Another race driver from the same race was injured when the car crashed while using the drive shaft from Dean's Porsche.  The original wreckage went on display in a travelling road safety campaign. In Sacramento it fell off its mount and broke the hip of a nearby viewer.  The trailer transporting the cursed Porsche was hit from the rear by another car. The driver of the car was thrown, run over and killed under the curse of this Porsche. Another race driver almost died when using 2 tires from Dean's Porsche and they blew out and skidded off the road in a crash. In Oregon the truck transporting the touring wreckage lost their brakes and crashed into a storefront. The sports car and Dean's accompanying curse disappeared while being shipped back to Los Angeles by train-

And green ghosts howl,
